James Patrick

James is a junior at The Ohio State University and is excited to be returning for his third year with Buckeye Mock Trial.

He loves mock trial for its mix of public speaking, storytelling, and performance. Through competition, James has strengthened his confidence, critical thinking, leadership, and improvisation skills. Whether portraying a larger-than-life witness or arguing objections as an attorney, James loves to bring energy and humor to every round.

James also values the strong sense of community that mock trial fosters. He credits the team for introducing him to some of the most ambitious, creative, and supportive people he’s met at Ohio State.

Outside the courtroom, James enjoys reading, writing, playing piano, and spending time with friends.

After graduation, he plans to attend law school and pursue a career as a criminal defense attorney.
