before trying out, you should know:

Mock Trial at Ohio State is a top-ranked nationally competitive program. Being ranked highly allows us to travel the country and compete against other top-tier teams.

As such a competitive program, we expect OSU mockers to be dedicated to the team and to the program. Practices are held Monday and Thursday at 7PM, and usually last until around 10PM. During the week preceding a tournament, practices are often every day. Tournaments are weekend-long events that occur about once or twice a month. OSU mockers are expected to come to practice with their parts prepared and ready to perform.

While we have high expectations for the dedication, preparedness, and performance of the members of our team, we also have high expectations for the amount of fun they will have being a part of this organization. Mock Trial at Ohio State is a large time commitment, but it will also be one of the most rewarding, fun-filled experiences of your college career.

What is the tryout process?

All prospective members MUST attend one of our information sessions, and then sign up for a tryout time slot. We will provide you with the tryout materials beforehand, so the more you prepare the better your chances will be!

WHEN ARE INFORMATION SESSIONS THIS YEAR?

Unfortunately, recruitment for the 2023-2024 season has already concluded. If you are interested in joining our team next year, make sure to join the email list linked below and follow us on instagram! Info session dates for next season have not been determined yet, but usually occur in late August and early September.

*Note: you only need to attend one information session; we cover the same content in each one. Tryout materials will be sent out after the last information session concludes, so it doesn’t matter which one you attend.*
